Let members find people to play with, on the fly or scheduled. Only shrkbot pings - so you can turn off general-purpose role pings.

Make your LFG roles non-mentionable

In Server Settings, turn off "Allow anyone to @mention this role" for every role you list below. shrkbot pings them for members, so you can switch off general-purpose role pings entirely.

Restrict who can run /lfg

In Server Settings -> Integrations -> shrkbot, limit the /lfg command to the channels and roles that should use it. That's your first line of control over who posts.

Defaults

Server-wide gates, allowed channels, cooldown and post lifetime

Server-wide Looking for Game settings. The per-role cards below add extra gates on top of these.

Required roles

Members need at least one of these roles to post at all. Leave empty to allow everyone.

Excluded roles

Members with any of these roles can't post. Leave empty to exclude no one.

Minimum membership

days

How long a member must have been in the server before they can post. Leave blank for no minimum.

Allowed channels

Channels where members can post an LFG. Leave empty to allow every channel.

Cooldown

How long a member must wait between posts. Set to 0 to disable the cooldown.

seconds

Recommended default: 300 seconds (5 minutes)

Post lifetime

How long the "Looking for Game" post stays visible. For scheduled posts, the clock starts with the session, not while it gathers interest.

Pingable roles

The roles members can ping with /lfg, each with its own extra gates. Only configured roles appear in the command.
